MARGAO: A splendid brace by striker Rohan Rodrigues helped CRSC Navelim to crush Sarzora Sports Club 3-0 in All-Goa Alvernaz and Lalush Alemao under-14 football tournament organized by Salcete Football Club at church ground, Chinchinim, Sunday. CRSC led 1-0 at the break.
CRSC showed good understanding and played as a cohesive unit. Well integrated play between the midfielders and forwards enabled CRSC push Sarzora on the back foot. Their ploy of working together short clever passes to keep possession of the ball unsettled their opponents who failed to strike rhythm. Their efforts bore fruit as they rocked the rival citadel in the 10th minute when Ronaldo Pereira beat the Sarzora goalkeeper with a neat placement.
Crossing over, CRSC continued to enjoy total domination and Rohan Rodrigues hit the target soon after resumption.
Spurred by the success, CRSC tormented the rival defence with raids. Rohan completed his brace when he punished the rival goalkeeper with a clinical finish to complete his brace.
