MAPUSA: BJP Mapusa MLA Joshua De Souza on Friday, hit out at Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo for supporting Congressman Sudhir Kandolkar in Mapusa. “This is completely incorrect and this shows that Michael is all set to join the Congress,” he alleged. He also claimed that Michael has interest in the Congress and not the BJP.
On the other side of the political fence, Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) councillor Kandolkar welcomed Lobo’s support and questioned development carried out by Joshua in Mapusa, especially in the ward where he lives.

Joshua claimed BJP should note this and take action against Lobo.
“This is not affecting me individually, it is affecting the party. There are five BJP candidates in Bardez; this will impact them as well. The party should take action or there should be some clarity on this,” said Joshua.
“Why is he taking interest in so many Constituencies? People must question what is going on? Why is he interfering in five Constituencies?” asked Joshua.
Khandolkar admitted that Lobo is a friend and always helps him. “The way development has happened in Calangute, similar development should take place in Mapusa and people should give me an opportunity to serve Mapusa.”
