VARCA: Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna edged past Betalbatim SC 2-1 to move into the semi-final of the Varca Panchayat Cup, at Varca ground, on Monday.
Roger Braganza netted the first goal of the match for Rossman Cruz Verna with a clinical finish.
However, it did not take long for Betalbatim to equalise as Manushan levelled terms for Betalbatim in the 23rd minute. The teams were level at the break.
Crossing over Rossman dominated the play and as the match progressed, Josley Moniz netted the match winner for Rossman in the 56th minute.
Betalbatim tried to score but just couldn’t get past the rival defence.
