Forget the chaotic functioning of the District Hospital Mapusa, the deplorable condition of the entrance and exit roads make a very poor impression of the authorities in power. Who do we hold responsible for the neglect of these roads endangering lives of the patients visiting this hospital for medicare and allied treatments? One keeps wondering! But the fact is if these ministers are so irresponsible and insensitive in their day to day functioning, what health care facilities and welfare do we citizens enjoy after paying so much of taxes to upkeep these politicians in power who run abroad for their medical attention? Really sad, isn’t it.
My pleading request to the hospital staff members and police in uniform, please do not use your influence to take preference bypassing hundreds of patients standing in long queue for hours waiting for their turn to come but are denied their right to visit the doctor. Orthopaedic and surgery clinics where the crowd of patients is large, must put a system in place not to inconvenience patients waiting for their turn in time.
