VALPOI: The Valpoi Police Department shut down the ongoing party at Goa Rustic farm in Golavali, Sattari on Sunday after locals raised serious concerns about noise pollution in their locality.

VALPOI: The Valpoi Police Department shut down the ongoing party at Goa Rustic farm in Golavali, Sattari on Sunday after locals raised serious concerns about noise pollution in their locality.
The aggrieved locals say that they have been bearing the brunt of such parties, organised regularly, at the farm for the last couple of months. They said the noise pollution from partying on Saturdays and Sundays were just unbearable.
On Sunday the angry locals took the matter to the Valpoi police station, when a party was ongoing at the farm. They demanded with the police to shut it down.
The police visited the site and directed the organiser to shut down the music. Thane Dongurli Panchayat member Nilesh Parwar said that last couple of months, locals repeatedly complained about the loud music parties at the farm, especially on Saturdays and Sundays.
Meanwhile, the villagers from Golavali have warned the farm owners not to organise such parties in future or else they would be forced to take the law into their hands.
