Picnic ends in tragedy as one drowns at Pale

A picnic ended in a tragedy when a 45-year-old man from Ambeshi-Pale drowned in the river on Sunday.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday at about 5 pm when one Raguvir Jana Gawde along with his three friends had gone for a picnic at nearby river.
In the evening, Raguvir went into the waters, where he drowned. The search operations by his friends proved futile. Raghvir’s body was recovered from the river on Tuesday. PSI T P Walke is investigating the case.
