DULER, APRIL 17 — Sangolda Lightning Club edged past Arpora Sporting Club by a close 4-3 margin via the tie breaker to find a place in the last eight of the Rajasthan Marbles Soccer tournament organised by Saligao United Club played at Dr Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim grounds today.
The play was mostly restricted to the midfield where Arpora had one good chance to take the lead but Alister Lobo could not find the rival nets from close range.
On changing ends, Sangolda missed a couple of chances.
At the reluctant tie breaker Sangolda proved to be better shooters finding the nets through Swanand Naik, Govind Palkar, Casmiro Peixoto and Ramesh Martins.
