Attend to pending Carmona demands: P’yat to CM

CARMONA: Irked with the slow pace of development in the village, the Carmona Village Panchayat on Saturday urged Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to direct the government department officials especially the PWD to attend to their long pending requests concerning various development works to be undertaken in Carmona.

Sarpanch Allwyn Jorge divulged to Herald that on January 28, he had requested the PWD to re-commission the overhead water storage tank in Gavona Ward, wherein the land was donated to the PWD by a Carmona villager. 

On February 22, the Carmona Sarpanch Jorge wrote again to the PWD Works Division IX (PHE) Fatorda regarding ‘the low water pressure at Carmona due to chocked and restricted pipelines and also concerning re-commissioning the overhead water storage tank in the village to solve the low water pressure issues following complaints received by the Carmona Panchayat of ‘very low water pressure, besides dirty and muddy water being supplied’ to the Carmona residents.
