Goa CM Urges Immediate Action as Groundwater Depletes and Water Pollution Rises

Chief Minister of Goa has raised alarm over the rapid depletion and pollution of groundwater in the state, emphasizing that human activities are the primary cause.

Speaking on the issue, the CM highlighted that indiscriminate disposal of garbage, sewage, and plastic into water bodies is contaminating the state’s water sources. “Today, even fish are found to contain plastic,” he said, underlining the severity of the problem.
