MAPUSA: The demolition squad of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) on Thursday demolished an illegal structure at Vagator beach.

GTDC officials, Joint Mamlatdar and police were present to supervise and maintain law and order.
The demolished structure was partly built on GTDC land at the Vagator beach. However, GTDC demolished the whole structure under Anjuna police protection on Thursday.
Officials of GTDC Laxmikant Vaigankar and team, joint mamlatdar Jenifer Fernandes, Anjuna PI Suraj Gawas were also present at the site.
In 2018, GTDC had partially demolished the same structure since it had encroached on the GTDC land. Then, the owner had assured that he would clear land and bring to its original state. However, he had rebuilt the structure.
