MAPUSA: Saligao police booked three Gujarat natives for allegedly stabbing a tourist taxi driver.
Saligao police booked three Gujarat natives namely Sarvesh Singh, Bhavesh Vyas and a minor boy for allegedly stabbing a tourist taxi driver Vinod Kudnekar for asking taxi fare.
Police said, the trio had hired the taxi from Calangute to travel to different tourist spots in Goa.
Later, when the driver asked for the fare, the tourists informed that they have no money to pay the fare and told the driver to drive them back to Calangute. When they reached Saligao, the trio assaulted Vinod and one of them stabbed him on his neck with a knife.
Vinod was immediately taken to District Hospital, Mapusa where he is undergoing medical treatment.
Saligao police have arrested the trio and have registered an attempt to murder case.
