MAPUSA: Calangute police busted another sex racket by arresting three pimps and rescuing a girl at Baga, on Saturday.
PI Jivba Dalvi informed that he had received information that some pimps are operating at Baga in Calangute. Accordingly, he said, he formed a team and raided the place in the presence of an NGO.
During the raid the police arrested Sunil Kumar Sahu, a resident of Dharavi-Mumbai, Veeru Sitaram and Santosh Kumar Singh, both natives of Janakpuri in Delhi. The raiding team also rescued a girl from Delhi who was brought to sex trade.
Police also seized a Rtiz car which the accused persons used to deliver the girl and cash of Rs 54,000 from their possession.
The victim girl was produced before the deputy collector who ordered her lodging in Protective Home at Merces.
The raiding team was headed by PI Jivba Dalvi.
