SANGUEM: A coconut tree damaged a house and injured an occupant at Damal Sanguem, due to heavy rains on Thursday.
The house belonging to Nitesh and Ravindra Naik was damaged after a coconut tree crashed on its roof, damaging rafters and tiles. Minor injuries were also caused to one of the inmates, Gula Naik, who was sleeping in one of the rooms at the time of the accident, when a wooden rafter fell on her hand.
Residents claim that a television set and other household items were also damaged in the incident.
