PONDA: Vivek Borkar (52) resident of Bethora who was deputed as a Booth Level Officer (BLO) for election duty at Bethora for the forthcoming Zilla Panchayat Election died on Thursday at Marcel.
According to Police, he had gone to one shop where he fell on the ground and subsequently referred to Primary Health Centre Bethki, where he was declared dead by the doctor. The cause of death is not yet known. However, locals suspect that it was due to a heart attack. Police have sent the body to Goa Medical College for a postmortem report.

It is learnt that he was working as Junior Auditor and was a government employee. The Election Official at Ponda said that they have made alternate arrangements due to demise of the said BLO.
