MARGAO: Shubham Singh Pundir’s patient 133 run helped Jammu and Kashmir post a huge score of 418 in their first innings against Goa, on the second day of the CK Nayudu Under-23 cricket tournament, at BITS Pilani ground, on Tuesday.
Resuming at 266 for the loss of six wickets, Jammu and Kashmir were bowled out at 418 in 145.5 overs. Pundir punished the Goa bowlers and 102 partnership with Sayed Muztaba Rizvi to reach 418.
For Goa, Vedant Naik was the most successful bowler, scalping four wickets. He was well supported by Reagan Pinto, who took three wickets.
In reply, Goa were reeling 120 for the loss of two wickets in their first innings after a shaky start.
Skipper Regan Pinto (58 not out) and Prathmesh Gawas (42 not out) helped balance the Goa batting order.
For the visitors, Rohit Sharma and Vishwajeet Singh clinched one wicket each.
