MAPUSA: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant released an amount of Rs 15,000 each from Chief Minister’s Relief fund to two families whose cows were killed by a tiger.
Deputy Conservator of Forests Kuldeep Sharma and Valpoi Range Forest officer handed over a cheque of Rs 15,000 to the family of Ladko Fati Jadhav of Derodem and another cheque of Rs 15,000 to the family Vitho Z Pawne.
Sharma also met the aged mother of Vitho Pawne and enquired about her well being.
On the occasion, Sharma informed the affected families that additional compensation amount as per livestock Compensation Guidelines 2012, shall be released them within this week. Meanwhile, the government has said that it is developing a protocol for providing instant relief to victims of wildlife attack.
