MARGAO: Rohan N Gaonkar, an official from the Town and Country Planning Department, Margao, has lodged a complaint with the Cuncolim police regarding illegal hill cutting at Cuncolim village, Salcete. The complaint pertains to survey number 474/1, where the accused, Abdul Gani Shaikh from Pairaband, Zuzegal, Cuncolim, reportedly carried out hill-cutting activities without obtaining the necessary permissions from the concerned authorities. Cuncolim police have registered an offence.
