Drishti was a part of the Chapora Fish Market Drive, and today, on May 29,
Herald and Drishti are all geared up to clean Sancoale. Our Lady of Health
Church road in Sancoale was one of the areas brought to our notice by Garbage
Sentinel Samuel Dorado. As soon as Herald was informed, a follow up and
planning with Drishti finally led us to this day. As promised, Herald-Drishti
will be initiating a cleanup drive in every area starting from Sancoale.

Locals from Sancoale
are urged to witness this and spread the message in their villages,
communities, local schools, etc. The segregated garbage will be taken to the Saligao Garbage Treatment Plant.
“It’s
a good initiative and I am happy that this is finally happening. The area was
filled with garbage for a year and no one bothered about it. Today is a good
day as I know the place is going to be cleaned,” says Dorado.
