PANJIM: Five serving police officers and one retired police officer will be presented the President’s police medals on August 15, Independence day.
Superintendent of Police Umesh Gaonkar will be honoured with the President medal for his distinguished service, while Superintendents of Police Bosco George and Vishram Borkar, Deputy Superintendents of Police Mahesh Gaonkar and Sunita Sawant will receive the President’s medal for their meritorious service.
Retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Terezinha D’Souza will be also presented with the President’s medal for her meritorious service while serving in the department.
