PANJIM: Vidya Vikas Mandal (VVM) held their annual sports day at Davorlim Panchayat ground, recently.
The programme began with the Principal of Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics Dr Prita Mallya receiving the salute of the impressive march past of the students from all three institutions of Vidya Vikas Mandal –Shree Damodar College of Commerce, G R Kare College of Law & RMS Higher Secondary School coupled with some stirring marching music from Vidya Vikas Academy School band.
The events started with races for different distances followed by throws and relays. The high light of the day was tug of war competition which the students of Kare College of law won the competition in women’s section and Shree Damodar College won the same in men’s section.
Sports Secretary of Kare Law Michelle Colaco administered the oath to all participants.
Milton Fernandes, Asst.Director of Sports, Goa University was the chief guest for the function.
