Arrears amounting to Rs 5.84 crore with regards to of house tax, trade licence, signboards, rent, etc, are pending.  We have directed Accounts Department to prepare a proposal following which the PMC will discuss the issue at a special meeting. Later the proposal will be sent to DMA for approval. The PMC will implement the OTS only after DMA’s approval.”

The principle amount will remain the same however only some interest amount may be waived off.  PMC is struggling to meet its monthly expenditure.  Due to pandemic and other reasons PMC’s revenue has been reduced. The Council is spending around Rs 60 lakh on its monthly expenditure and hopes to generate regular income.”

He said, “PMC is in process of terminating the contractor’s contract on the Golden Jubilee Project. The contractor abandoned the project work and PMC is planning to complete the project work.”
