VELIM: CAC Cansaulim got the better of Cuncolim Union 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Velim Panchayat Cup football tournament organised by Sports and Welfare Club of Zaino Velim, at St Francis Xavier Church ground, Velim, on Tuesday.
Chadwick Furtado opened the score-line in the 20th minute for Cansaulim.
As the match progressed in the 56th minute, Micky Fernandes levelled terms for Cuncolim.
In the tie-breaker, CAC Cansaulim netted through Chadwick Furtado, Roysol Theodisio, Anthony Cardozo, Domnic Soares and Hasten Pereira while Micky Fernandes, Edney Fernandes, Bharat Gaonkar and Tennyson D’Costa scored for Cuncolim Union.
