GFA club’s renewal by May 15
PANJIM: The GFA has informed its affiliated clubs that the last date for submission for renewal of registration for the 2013-14 season without a late fee is on May 15.
Forms will be accepted from May 16 and 31 only after a payment of late fee.
7-a-side-football at Taleigao
PANJIM: The All-Goa 7-a-side football tournament organized by Santissimo Boys of Taleigao will be held on May 5 at Oitient ground, Taleigao.

Pax of Nagoa SC AGM
PANJIM: The annual general body meeting of Pax of Nagoa Sports Club will be held on May 12 at the club house, at 10 a.m. The financial statement of the year 2012-13 will be also discussed.
GFA matches postponed
PANJIM: The GFA play-off matches between Sporting Clube de Goa and Betalbatim SC at Taleigao ground and Salgaocar FC and Goa United at Tilak Maidan, Vasco to be held on May 5 have been postponed.
Entry submissions for beach football tourney
PANJIM: A beach football tournament organized by GFA will be held on May 25 and 26. Teams may submit their entries to the GFA’s Secretariat, here by May 11. Only the first 16 entries will be accepted.
Tie-breaker at Aivao
PANJIM: The 1st All-Goa 3-a-side football tie-breaker organized by Beach Boys of Aivao will be held on May 5 at Aivao at 3 p.m.
Football coaching at Corlim
PANJIM: The grassroots football coaching camp for boys from the age of 9 to 12 years organized by Friends Sporting Club, Corlim will be held from May 8 to June 4 at Carambolim panchayat ground, Carambolim, from 7 to 8.30 a.m.
Those born on or after 1/1/2001 to 2004 are eligible to attend the month long camp. Twenty-four boys will be selected at the end of the camp and will be trained by qualified coaches for a period of five to six years.

Meanwhile, a thrice a week camp for under-17 boys (those born on or after 1997) will be held from May 8 at Carambolim panchayat ground, Carambolim.
Football centre Areal to be inaugurated
MARGAO: The Salgaocar FC sponsored youth football centre at Sao Jose de Areal will be inaugurated by Swati Salgaocar at Pabribatt ground, Areal on May 7 at 4.30 pm. as part of the Salcete Grassroot Football Development initiative.
A lot of former and present players from Areal have donned Salgaocar’s popular green and whites so it comes as no surprise that SFC wants to give something back to the village by providing an opportunity for young boys to take up football at an early age. This centre will promote football in the age group of 8 to 10 in the village of Areal. Around 45 boys have already registered with the centre and the boys will be trained two to three times a week.
SFC has taken this programme to another level by upping the involvement of the Salgaocar FC senior team players from Areal. Senior team players from Areal will mentor 10 to 12 young footballers each in skills, attitude and discipline.
Day to day administration will be taken care of by the local Areal Club.
Mumbai Rush soccer camp in Goa
PANJIM: The Mumbai Rush Soccer Center of Excellence will organize a one month residential training program from May 6 in Margao.
The training will be conducted by USSF ‘A’ Licence coach Mitch Bickmore, technical director of Mumbai Rush Soccer. The children from Mumbai will be training and residing in Goa during the training, the training will be in two sessions, morning as well as in the evening.
The players will thereafter train in Mumbai for five months under Mitch Bickmore before leaving for a month long training in USA. Details may be obtained on 9967490648.
