VALPOI: The 3rd all-Goa nine-a-side football tournament organized by CJ Brothers, Valpoi will be held on January 13 and 20.

Cricket at Baina
DABOLIM: The 11th all-Goa leather ball cricket tournament organized by Shantadurga Kirda Sangh will be held from January 16 at MPT ground, Baina.
Outstation and GPL players will not be allowed to participate. The winners will get Rs 60,000 and a trophy while the runners-up will receive Rs 30,000 plus a trophy. Fitness test for refs
PANJIM: The second fitness test for referees organized by Goa Football Association (GFA) will be held on January 13 at Campal ground, here, at 7 a.m.
The reporting time is 6.45 a.m. A bus will leave from the Kadamba bus stand, Margao at 5.45 a.m.
Chess at Chicalim
PANJIM: The all-Goa open and women team selection tournament organized by Mormugao Taluka Chess Association under the aegis of Goa Chess Association will be held on January 12 and 13 at Regina Mundi School, Chicalim, from 9.30 a.m.
The tournament will be played on team basis. Each team will consist of four players and one reserve. The top three teams and prizes for four best players on each board will receive prizes.
The winners will represent Goa in National Team Championship to be held in Andhra Pradesh from February 17 to 26.

Sangappa for Pune
MARGAO: Sangappa Pujari won the gold in State School’s judo championship and will represent Goa in 58th School National Games, in Pune. He is being coached by Deepak Netarelekar. He is a student of St Anthony’s HS, Veroda-Cuncolim.
