MAPUSA: Sanquelim SC beat host Milagres Sports Club 5-2 via tie-breaker in the Milagres Soccer Cup, at Duler Stadium, here on Sunday.
Sanquelim surged ahead through a penalty scored by Laximan Pojkar. Milagres defender Avito Fernandes handled the ball.
On crossing over, Milagres were all over the rival territory in search of the equaliser which they succeeded to get in the 45th minute as Jewel Fernandes got hold of a pass from Jolan to score over the onrushing keeper.
With the match ending in a 1-1 draw, the tie-breaker was implemented with Sanquelim side scoring four while Milagres netted just one.
