A 38-year-old Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) worker, Santosh Varak, was arrested for allegedly abusing and slapping ward in-charge Suresh Sinari at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sankhali.
The incident occurred on July 2 when Sinari confronted Varak about arriving late for duty. Following the altercation, police registered a case against Varak under BNS Sections 352 (assault), 132 (obstructing public servant), and 221.
Authorities said the matter is under further investigation, and appropriate action will be taken as per the law.
