Sports secy coming on January 28

NEW DELHI: The Centre will be pumping more money in the sports projects of Goa in view of it hosting the next National Games, after the event slated in Kerala from this month-end.
Sports Secretary Ajit M Sharan, who is also officiating Director General of Sports Authority of India (SAI), is visiting Goa for three days from Wednesday to review the progress of the ongoing sports projects and SAI centres in the State.
He is also having an appointment with Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, on Wednesday evening to discuss various sports issues concerning Goa and how the Centre can help the state to promote the sports activities.
Sharan will also travel to Thiruvananthapuram from Goa to attend the inaugural function of the National Games, on Saturday.
