MAPUSA: According to Mapusa Police, a flat in Karaswada, Mapusa was burgled and cash and jewellery worth Rs 2.9 lacs was decamped with.
Sapna Arondekar said she left the flat in the morning at 10.30 am and returned home at 1.30 pm to find the front door of the flat open.
The two cupboards were ransacked. She said the building in which she resides consist of 8 flats but only two are occupied. The police conducted the panchanama and took finger prints. PSI Deepesh Shetkar and PSI Yogendra Gaurdi are investigating.
Meanwhile, electronic items, two LPG cylinders, clothes, ownership papers, cash of Rs 50000 and gold ornaments got destroyed in a fire that broke out in a house at Aldona on Tuesday.
