IMD warns fishermen not to venture into sea

PANJIM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa has issued a bad weather warning to fishermen and trawlers about high sea condition and updates about other coasts conditions beyond 75 kms from the coast.

Fishermen have been advised by IMD Goa not to venture into the sea till September 16.

“Strong winds with speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph are likely to prevail over Gujarat coast and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea on September 15, 2021,” said IMD Goa.

“Strong wind with speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 70 kmph is likely to prevail over part of southwest and adjoining west central Arabian Sea till September 16, 2021,” it added.
