PANJIM: The Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) has paid the final dividend of Rs 11.89 crore to the Central government for the financial year 2023-24.

According to a statement from the GSL, a cheque of the dividend amount was presented to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently.
The final dividend, paid at 40 per cent of the paid-up share capital, was in addition to an interim dividend of 100 per cent declared earlier, culminating in a total dividend payout of 140 per cent for the year. This resulted in a total dividend payout of Rs 41.63 crore to Government of India, the statement said.
The achievement marks a substantial increase from the 108 per cent dividend paid for FY 2022-23, the statement added.
