AGONDA: Prital Fernandes, panch of Parve ward of Agonda panchayat was elected unopposed as sarpanch of Agonda. The announcement was made by the BDO official Pradip Gaude who presided over the meeting as electoral officer
All the seven panchayat members, Panchayat Secretary Amol Naik Gaonkar, BDO officer Pradip Gaude and locals were present at the meeting.

The post fell vacant after outgoing sarpanch Fatima Rodrigues had resigned from the post on 1st May due to personal reasons before her 1 year tenure.
“I will complete the ongoing works, which includes construction of a bandhara at Mudkud. I will also resolve the issue of sharp curve at Paanna, which is dangerous to motorists,” said Sarpanch Prital.
