SERAULIM: Fr Agnel Ashram, Verna, thrashed St Pius, Orlim, 8-0 in the Sir Jawaharlal Da Costa U-14 inter-school football tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim in collaboration with The Base Goa, at the Base Seraulim on Friday.

Fr Agnel scored a hat-trick through hardworking Jayden Pinto. Anderson Goes, Ismael Nayak and Elrich D’Souza scored a goal each, the other two goals were self goals.
In the other matches, Perpetual Succuor, Navelim drew with Manovikas HS, Margao, 1-1. Manovikas scored through Vardaan Pathania and Emmanuel Gama equalised for Perpetual Succour. In the other match, Mae Dos Pobres, Nuvem, blanked St Jude, Betalbatim, 4-0.
Crossley Dias scored a brace, Wayne Colaco and Amchris Pereire scored a goal each for Mae Dis Pobres, Nuvem. Manovikas scored a 3-1 victory against St Mary’s HS, Varca. Warren D’Sa scored a brace and Vardaan Pathania scored a solo for Manovikas. St Mary’s scored the lone goal through Ijaz Sayed. In the last league of the day, Loyola HS scored a solitary goal victory against St Pius, Orlim. Reuben Barbosa scored the match winner.
In the girls’ category, Perpetual Succour, Navelim went down fighting to Manovikas HS 1-0. The all important goal came through the boots of Valvscha Gonsalves. In the next match, Fatima Convent, Margao scored a well deserved 2-0 victory against Vidya Vikas, Margao.
Dezma D’Costa scored a brace for Fatima Convent. In the second league match, Fatima Convent HS blew out Infant Jesus HS, Colva, 7-0. Dezma scored a hat-trick, Ebbnie Rodrigues, Shalaika Rodrigues and Joleen Fernandes scored a goal each, and one more goal through self.
