Following the Mass, the community came together to showcase their cultural heritage through a traditional dance performance. The energetic dance was a beautiful representation of the unity and diversity of the village, featuring participants from Odisha, Jharkhand, and Assam.
“The event highlighted the true spirit of Christmas, which is often lost in today’s world. The celebration served as a reminder that the true motive of Christmas is to come together, unite, and spread love and joy,” said one of the local organisers and parishioner of the Loutolim Church. “Many Goans have gone abroad and settled in Europe, and we have people from various Indian States who come here to work and do jobs that we don’t find locals to undertake. It is nice to have all cultures mingling together, irrespective of caste, creed, language or background. We welcome the people who come here and live in cooperation with us, like brothers and sisters, and respect the ethos of Goa,” he said.
