Goa’s First Water Metro Project Planned Between Vasco and Dona Paula to Boost Tourism, Reduce Traffic

Goa is set to get its first water metro project, connecting Vasco in Mormugao with Dona Paula in Tiswadi, officials announced. The project is expected to significantly ease road congestion and strengthen the state’s tourism sector.

Speaking at a programme in Vasco, Minister for Drinking Water and Social Welfare, Subhash Phal Dessai, said the project is being evaluated in collaboration with the Centre. “The water metro project will help ease road traffic and also strengthen tourism in Goa,” Phal Dessai stated.
