The Office of the Commissioner of Excise has announced that all premises selling liquor through packed bottles, as well as establishments for on-site consumption, will remain closed on October 2, 2025, in observance of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
This directive applies across Goa, ensuring that alcohol sales and consumption outlets observe the national holiday dedicated to the Father of the Nation. Authorities have urged citizens and businesses to plan accordingly.
