The death toll in the Vijay Marine Shipyard explosion at Loutolim has risen to three after another injured worker succumbed to his injuries at the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim.
The blast, which occurred during repair and welding work at the shipyard, had initially claimed two lives and left several others injured. Authorities have launched an investigation into possible safety lapses, with a safety officer already placed under arrest for alleged negligence.
