Bicholim Police have registered an FIR against Gauresh Gaonkar, 19, a resident of Podocem in Sattari, for allegedly assaulting and sexually abusing a minor in the Sarvan–Vathadev area. According to police, the accused also purportedly threatened the victim and circulated a video of the incident on social media.
The complaint was lodged by the victim’s brother, following which police initiated a detailed investigation. Officials confirmed that multiple sections related to assault, sexual offences involving a minor, and criminal intimidation have been invoked.
