Konkan Railway Unveils Second High-Capacity Ro-Ro Rake to Boost West Coast Freight Movement

Konkan Railway has introduced its second Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) rake with enhanced capacity, marking a significant boost to freight movement along the West Coast corridor. Launched on December 3, the upgraded rake is designed to improve cargo efficiency and support a wider range of industries.

The new Ro-Ro rake comprises 15 BRN wagons with a 57-tonne capacity and 35 BOXN wagons capable of carrying 50 tonnes. This development is expected to benefit transporters dealing in steel, marble, tiles, construction materials, and other heavy goods.
