Porvorim Police have registered a case of cheating after a resident of Varca alleged that he was deceived into paying ₹5 lakh by two individuals who promised him a job abroad.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly assured the victim that overseas employment would be arranged upon payment of the amount. However, despite receiving the money, they neither provided the promised job nor refunded the sum.
