Goan mechatronics student Ronak Sameer Madkaikar has earned international recognition after presenting his innovation, MOD-LICERA — a modular, scalable manufacturing system designed for use in microgravity — at the prestigious International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025 in Sydney.
Ronak also holds a utility patent for an amphibious unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with biomimetic sensing, triboelectric energy harvesting and AI-driven navigation technology. A former intern at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), he continues to gain acclaim for his pioneering work at the crossroads of engineering, aerospace research and creative technology.
His achievements highlight the growing global footprint of young Indian innovators in the space and aviation sectors.
