Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has assured Chief Minister Pramod Sawant that the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) facility in Goa will soon be fully normalised to ensure that veterans do not face any inconvenience while accessing medical services.
The assurance came after the United Veterans Association submitted a representation regarding the issue through Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, highlighting challenges faced by ex-servicemen in the state.
Authorities said the matter is being actively addressed to restore smooth functioning of the ECHS network and safeguard the welfare of retired defence personnel and their dependents.
