An attempted theft was reported at Navnath Mandir near the IDC Junction at Honda in Sattari, after unidentified persons allegedly tried to break open the temple donation box.
According to police sources, the incident came to light when locals noticed signs of tampering at the temple and immediately alerted the authorities. The miscreants are believed to have fled before they could succeed in stealing the cash.

Police rushed to the spot, conducted a site inspection and launched a search for the suspects. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify those involved.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
