Man arrested in Goa for clicking pictures of women tourists at beach

Calangute Police arrested a tourist from Latur, Maharashtra, for allegedly capturing photographs and videos of women tourists at Baga Beach near Tito’s. According to police officials, the incident came to light after beach marshals noticed suspicious activity and alerted authorities. The accused was taken into custody by the Tourist Police Unit under the supervision of Police Inspector Jatin Potdar.

Officials stated that the man had reportedly been photographing both foreign and domestic female visitors without their consent, prompting immediate action. After his detention, he was formally handed over to the Calangute Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings. Police confirmed that appropriate sections of the law will be invoked based on the findings of the inquiry, and further questioning is currently underway.
