The military confrontation between Iran and the US–Israel alliance has entered its fifth consecutive day, with violence intensifying and no immediate signs of de-escalation. The conflict has already claimed heavy casualties across the region. Reports indicate that at least 787 people have been killed in Iran, nearly 60 in Lebanon, around a dozen in Israel, and six American soldiers have also lost their lives since the hostilities began.
Israel carried out fresh airstrikes targeting Iranian positions, while also renewing attacks on Hezbollah-linked sites in Lebanon. Explosions were reported in and around Beirut as Israeli forces expanded their operations. In response, Iran launched retaliatory strikes, targeting Israeli positions and US interests in the Gulf region, further widening the scope of the conflict.
