Man Killed in Clash Between Two Families During Holi Celebrations in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar

A 26-year-old man was killed following an alleged clash between two families during Holi celebrations in the JJ Colony area of Uttam Nagar in southwest New Delhi, police said on Thursday.

The incident reportedly occurred after a dispute broke out between members of the two families. According to preliminary information from police, the altercation was triggered by a stray splash from a balloon filled with coloured water during the festivities.

The victim, identified as Tarun, sustained serious injuries in the clash and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed during treatment.

The incident sparked tension in the locality, with residents staging protests outside the local police station demanding swift action against those involved. Meanwhile, a large crowd gathered outside the residence of the accused and allegedly attempted to attack the house, prompting police to intervene and bring the situation under control.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and said further action will be taken based on the findings.
