Pramod Sawant on Tuesday clarified that he had never referred to the four individuals involved in the recent Assembly incident as terrorists, stating that his earlier remarks had been misinterpreted.
Speaking on the matter, Sawant said he had only stated that the four people involved should be arrested. His comments came after a remark made by Venzy Viegas during the discussion.

According to the Chief Minister, Viegas had claimed that he could bring 1,000 more people into the Goa Legislative Assembly. Responding to that statement, Sawant said such remarks should not encourage what he described as “terrorist tendencies” among people.
Sawant stressed that his comment was not intended to label Goans as terrorists. Instead, he said the statement was made in the context of safeguarding the functioning and decorum of the Assembly.
The clarification comes amid political reactions over the remarks made during the ongoing Assembly session.
