The panel backed by former minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate and the Bharatiya Janata Party strengthened its position in the elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), with four more candidates securing victories in different wards.
Nikita Naik won from Ward 19, while Kabir Makhija emerged victorious from Ward 9. In Ward 13, Uday Madkaikar secured a win, and Varsha Shetye was elected from Ward 12.

With these results, four more seats have been added to the Babush Monserrate-backed panel, further consolidating its strength in the Panaji civic body elections.
Vote counting continued amid tight security and the presence of candidates and their supporters, with the remaining ward results expected to determine the final composition of the council of the Corporation of the City of Panaji.
