Aamir Khan celebrated his 61st birthday on Saturday, March 14, with a warm and intimate gathering at his residence, surrounded by close family members and a few friends from the film and sports fraternity. The quiet celebration brought together several important people in the actor’s life, reflecting the cordial relationships he has maintained over the years.
Among those present were Aamir’s partner Gauri Spratt, his first wife Reena Dutta and their children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. His former wife Kiran Rao also attended the celebration along with their son Azad Rao Khan. The presence of both families at the event highlighted the actor’s close bond with his loved ones despite changes in personal relationships.
A video from the celebration surfaced online after former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan shared a clip on social media. Pathan, who attended the gathering with his wife Safa Baig, posted a short video showing the actor cutting his birthday cake while guests around him cheered and applauded.
In the video, Aamir is seen cutting the cake and sharing the first slice with his youngest son Azad. He then feeds cake to his daughter Ira and partner Gauri, while family members and friends continue to celebrate the special moment.
Sharing the clip, Pathan also posted a birthday message for the Bollywood star. He wished Aamir a happy birthday and praised Ira Khan’s work in raising awareness about mental health through her organisation, the Agatsu Foundation. Ira founded the initiative to promote mental health awareness and support people dealing with psychological challenges.
Several other videos from the gathering later appeared online. In one clip, Aamir Khan is seen stepping out of the venue with Gauri Spratt. When photographers requested them to pose together, the couple briefly stopped and smiled for the cameras before leaving.
Soon after, Reena Dutta and Junaid Khan were also spotted exiting the venue.
Apart from family members, a few well-known personalities from the entertainment industry attended the celebration. Actor Vicky Kaushal was among the guests, while Riteish Deshmukh arrived with his wife Genelia D’Souza. Film producer Ritesh Sidhwani was also seen attending the intimate gathering.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan is currently backing the upcoming film Ek Din, which stars Junaid Khan alongside Sai Pallavi. The film is scheduled to release on May 1. He is also producing Lahore 1947, which is expected to arrive in theatres on August 13.
