According to sources, residents objected to the act and confronted those involved, leading to a heated argument between both sides. The situation soon turned tense, resulting in a brief physical altercation.

Police were called to the spot and promptly intervened to restore order and prevent further escalation. Both parties involved in the incident were later taken to the South Goa District Hospital for medical examination.
