Two men have been arrested in connection with the assault of a serving Army officer and his son in South Delhi’s Vasant Enclave, police said. The incident prompted swift action from law enforcement, leading to the apprehension of the key accused and the seizure of the vehicle allegedly used in the attack.
Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who has been closely monitoring the investigation, commended the prompt response by the Delhi Police. Emphasising the need for speedy justice, he directed authorities to accelerate the probe and identify any additional individuals involved.
In a statement shared online, the Lt Governor praised the “much-needed swift action” taken in the case and stressed that the investigation must be fast-tracked to ensure all accomplices are brought to justice. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens.
Police officials said further investigations are underway to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the assault.
